I am continuing my Virtual Lab Series. I have recently went throuhg a good virtual lab on integrating Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) with Windows WorkFlow Foundation (WF).
Event Overview
-
The purpose of this lab is to illustrate how Workflow Foundation (WF) workflows can interoperate with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services using Visual Studio 2008. As we progress through this lab, we will also have an opportunity to examine new language features in Visual Basic and productivity features in Visual Studio 2008.
-
With the release of Visual Studio 2008 comes new functionality that enables Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) and WCF to interoperate seamlessly together.
-
This lab has been built in Visual Basic and will also serve as an introduction into some of the language’s new features.

I am continuing my Webcast Series. I have recently watch a few good webcasts on Windows WorkFlow Foundation (WF). The first webcast gives an overview of WF and how it can interact with your environment. The second webcast gives an overview of the Workflow Foundation tools in Visual Studio 2008.

I thought that I would also start a Webcast Series to go along with my Virtual Lab Series to help make everyone more aware some of the great information that Microsoft has to offer. I have been watching a great 15 part webcast series on Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) from Microsoft by Michèle Leroux Bustamante.
Event Overview
-
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is the Microsoft messaging platform for building service-oriented applications. Released with the Windows Vista operating system, and part of the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.0, WCF unifies the programming model for how components and services communicate: be they distributed or not, accessible beyond firewalls, or available through interoperable interfaces. Join us to learn how WCF is the evolution of Microsoft .NET Remoting, Enterprise Services, Microsoft ASP.NET Web Services (ASMX), and Web Services Enhancements (WSE) in a single technology stack. In this first webcast in our 15-part series, we introduce you to WCF as a technology for service-orientated architecture (SOA), discuss the programming model, and provide a short overview of core features that will be discussed in subsequent webcasts.
